A MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN
Dear colleagues:
On behalf of the Executive Committee, allow me to welcome you to the Association for the Study of Terrorism, Security and Intelligence. This Association has been in the making for years, culminating in the creation of ASESTI with the aim of bringing the latest developments, studies and research on the prevention of terrorism, radicalisation and extremism in all its forms, as well as global security as a strategy for unity in the face of threats posed by destabilising actors, to the attention of all those interested.
We aim for the Association to be an open, dynamic forum for debate; for this reason, we value the collaboration, participation and commitment of those who wish to contribute their personal and professional knowledge and experience.
Our country and the world at large are currently grappling with a growing problem of conflict and violence; it is therefore of the utmost importance that the various institutions involved in this field contribute, through the activities our Association intends to launch, to pooling resources for the well-being of our society and to developing strategies for eradicating the scourge of terror and criminal organisations.
I therefore reiterate this call for participation, since, as professionals, academics or interested parties, the duty to promote peace and mutual respect is incumbent upon us all.
Thank you for taking a few minutes to read about this exciting project; I remain at your disposal should you require any further information. Kind regards.
