ASESTI arose from the need to create a forum for recognition and professional development for those working in the field of counter-terrorism and the prevention of violent extremism. Following years of planning and collaboration between experts, academics and security professionals, the Association was established as a leading forum for the exchange of knowledge and experience.

Promoting training, research and professional collaboration.
ASESTI’s objectives reflect the Association’s firm commitment to excellence,
rigorous research and the creation of opportunities for collaboration amongst security
professionals. Through these objectives, we seek to strengthen the capabilities of those working in the field of
counter-terrorism and the prevention of violent extremism, by fostering synergies between
the academic, police, military and prison sectors.
